Can you provide your services globally?

Yes. And in fact, we have long experience in providing services to organizations all around the world. So far it has been working great and our customers have been pleased with the service provided by us.

Engineering: I need proprietary hardware platform, can you design hardware?

No. We are not hardware designers, but please see our partners section as some of our partners are specialized in the hardware design.

Engineering: Can you do projects for other OS, besides EmbedOne Linux?

Yes. We have experience of working with many different operating systems. In addition to all flavours of desktop and embedded Linux, we have been working with Mac OS/X and Windows/CE/Mobile software development projects.

Engineering: What is typical project size you are doing?

There is no typical project. Projects can be anything from porting embedded Linux to a new platform to a complete solution consisting of embedded system with remote management applications.

Engineering: What is normal lead from request to project start?

It varies depending of the type of resources needed for the project as well as the current workload on other projects. We aim to be able to start larger projects within two months time from commissioning and keep some resource reserves for smaller high-priority tasks as well.

Engineering: Could you give some references of executed projects?

Unfortunately most of the details of the projects we have executed are confidential. The open source projects visible on the website can be considered reference projects. Customized versions of EmbedOne Linux are in use in commercial deployments.

Engineering: What are the most typical applications where you’re engineering services has been used?

In general the vast majority is somehow related to wireless communication. In particular, high-end wireless communication applications such as machine-to-machine communications, outdoor wireless networks and mobile WLAN networking have been in our customers’ focus lately.

The developer having an issue contacts our professional support, describing the issue at hand. Our engineers work together with the developer to resolve the issue in EmbedOne Linux.

Support: How can you help me porting EmbedOne Linux to a new platform if I subscribe to developer support service?

Porting works are done as a engineering projects.

Support: Is there any free support available?

The community forums and live support offer a free channel to contact other users as well as EmbedOne engineers for assistance. However, resolutions on any problems is up to the community to deliver and EmbedOne does not give any guarantee on the reachability of a solution. For commercial projects we recommend the EmbedOne Professional Support service.
