EMI-RPC Server provides a mechanism to remotely transfer and execute software. update the system with the emi.sys.file method. Files are always downloaded to the device, meaning that the actual file transfer is initiated by the device on receiving the corresponding EMI-RPC request. All the files that are transferred to system are stored in certain temporary location and the contents of this location will be cleared if the system is rebooted. It is important to keep that in mind when trying to perform more complex update routines. Following subsections describe the sub-methods that are related to file operations.
